The Aspenwood Company, a leader in the senior living industry, has an outstanding opportunity for an Area Director of Resident Care in Spring, TX.


Pay Rate:
$80,000/yr.


Area Director of Resident Care provides strategic leadership for resident care in the assigned communities by managing, directing and monitoring subordinate nurses, resident care team and resident medication aides, as applicable by State law, to promote the health and wellness of the resident population.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists and other clinical providers to coordinate care and services for the residents within assigned
  • Perform skill evaluation assessments to assure clinical capability of care team members. Make daily rounds to review performance of resident care
  • Provides superior customer service preserving Resident
  • Investigate and resolve resident and family concerns and complaints in conjunction with other community
  • Participate in clinical quality and process improvement initiatives within the assisted living community to mitigate risk and improve resident care
  • Recruit, hire and train clinical team members and is responsible for performance management, evaluation and
  • Scheduling, and training of personnel and ensures managers are familiar with and adhere to state regulatory Maintains high staff morale and fosters a supportive work environment.
  • Respond to concerns of residents, families and visitors by providing immediate and courteous
  • In conjunction with community DRC/designee, gather medical and contact information for all new residents. Review resident chart documentation for completion and
  • Responsible for overall safety of residents and the
  • Provides superior customer service preserving Resident
  • Collaborate with Sales partners to determine community capability and assess potential residents
  • Assist with transfers and move
  • Performs timely assessment of potential and current residents to assure needs can be, or continue to be, met in an assisted living and memory care setting.
  • Track, trend and report clinical quality data to identify
  • Provide oversight of the assisted living community medication management program to promote resident safety in the medication use
  • Conduct incident report followup investigation and ensure completion of resident status
  • Maintains accurate resident charts and state required documentation and is prepared for state survey and health inspections at all
  • Assure compliance with all Federal, State/Provincial, board of nursing and other applicable
  • Communicate directly with other disciplines involved in patient care on a regular basis, including
  • Complete all assigned duties that may change from timetotime according to resident needs, staffing levels, and working
  • Member of the community's emergency response
  • Maintains a professional appearance and good personal hygiene per company
  • Operates and maintains assigned equipment, supplies, inventory and other property according to established
  • Assists with special projects or task; other duties as

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

- _College_ _Degree_ _Must be a graduate of an accredited LVN/LPN/RN program._
- _2-3 years of related experience, preferably in an assisted living or memory care setting. Experience in geriatric nursing, emergency care, firstaid._
- _Must_ _possess_ _a_ _current,_ _unencumbered,_ active license to practice as an RN or LVN/LPN in this Must have current CPR_
- _Must maintain valid Continuing Education credits as required by the_ State. Must have a valid Driver's License_
- _Computer_ _proficiency_ _with_ _electronic_ _medical records,_ _the_ Microsoft Office suite and the ability to learn new _
