    Description
    Position Purpose and Objectives

    Work directly with our customers and vendors to book loads, negotiate rates, ensure timely pick-up and delivery, enforce safety/compliance, and maintain relationships. Our environment is fast-paced, customer-focused, and results-driven.

    Essential Job Functions
    • Develop and maintain excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
    • Prepare documents for shipping both domestic and international.
    • Enter data into operational tracking systems.
    • Get competitive shipping quotes for parcel and freight.
    • Track orders.
    • Review and process PO's.
    • Develop cross-training documentation and provide training to staff to ensure adequate skills to perform as backup in shipping and receiving departments, as necessary.
    • Assist in the annual inventory process.
    • Document any damaged goods received and work with appropriate channels until full resolution.

    • Provide outstanding customer service by handling and responding to all customer inquiries promptly and accurately.
    • Investigate and resolve all shipment-related issues to ensure on-time pickup and delivery.
    • Provide accurate and timely updates to customers throughout the shipping/delivery process.
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
    • Accurate typing skills and/or data entry skills.
    • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, QuickBooks, internet, UPS
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
    • Responds promptly and professionally to customer needs.
    • Read, write, and speak English fluently.
    • Read, comprehend, and write basic correspondence.
    • Effectively present information one-on-one or in small group situations.
    • Identifies and resolves problems promptly.
    • Balances team and individual responsibilities.
    • Punctuality and dependability are required.
    • Organization skills
    • Open to learn new skills and adapt to changing needs.
    Working Conditions
    • Office environment.
    • Strong interaction with others.
    Minimum Qualifications
    • 2 years of shipping/order processing, and logistic experience.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Experience building and maintaining relationships.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office products and QuickBooks.
    • Basic shipping/logistic verbiage.
