- Monitors all operations and processes.

- Develops and maintains manufacturing operations business plans to include all program requirements, labor hours, cycle, production costs, and image.

- Coordinates manufacturing activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.

- Practices conflict resolution among departments and employees.
- Approve expenses and manage budget for the operations department including approval of purchase orders and vendor pricing.
- Analyzes production metrics and data to determine areas of improvement.
- Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Determines responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives.
- Manages performance and talent development within the business unit
- Establishes production and quality control standards, key contributor in developing budget and forecast, and obtains data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
- Interact with customers and local, state and federal government employees to resolve customer service concerns; ensure regulatory compliance standards are met.
- Performs administrative activities associated with the effective management of shop operations, including compiling, storing, and retrieving production data for reports.

The General Manager / Plant Manager
manages all activities related to day-today operations and development of company products while focused on maximizing uptime, throughput, and safety compliance either by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
* *Education and/or Experience* - Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; and 7-10 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred candidate has spent +5 years in the plastic extrusion industry.
* *Language Skills* - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
* *Mathematical Skills*-Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
* *Reasoning Ability* - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
