Cardiology Consultants of Philadelphia is a professional medical organization committed to the healing mission of Medicine. CCP specializes in providing comprehensive cardiology care and currently has over 40 locations throughout the Philadelphia area. We are currently hiring for a full-time Medical Assistant to work at our
N.Broad, PA office.

Please note this role is entitled to a $500 sign-on bonus.


Responsibilities

  • Assist with appointment scheduling.
  • Review instructions for studies scheduled with patients
  • Schedule patients for Cardiology testing appointments
  • Verifying benefits by contacting patient insurance companies for specific programs within CCP.
  • Receives, places, and transfers telephone calls using appropriate phone etiquette
  • Answer phones and assist with checkin/out procedures if necessary
  • Records and communicates all messages in an accurate, concise, and timely manner, using appropriate medical terminology and abbreviations, and appropriate EMR workflows for "phone notes".
  • Routes emergency calls appropriately.
  • Pages individuals to inform them of telephone calls, using paging and interoffice communication equipment.
  • Maintains an accurate listing of physician phone numbers, fax numbers, and addresses.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:


  • Must be a certified or registered Medical Assistant
  • Must have at least 23 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
  • Familiarity with various cardiologyrelated procedures such as stress tests, managing Coumadin therapy, and Holter monitors are a plus
  • Must have the ability to multitask
  • Computer knowledge is a must
  • Experience with an EMR system is a plus
  • Must be wellspoken, friendly, and outgoing

  • If you are hired, and assuming your employment is in good standing, you will receive the signon bonus. The bonus will be paid to you no later than 30 days following your start date. In the event that you voluntarily terminate your employment or the Company terminates your employment for cause within 6 months of your date of hire, you will be required to repay the full amount of your signon bonus.
