Children's Home in Hamburg is a residential facility for children and youth with 44 places, located in the neighborhoods of Altona, Ottensen, and Lurup.

Our children and youth come to us according to the German Social Code (SGB VIII).

Our goal is to empower the individuals entrusted to us to live independent, meaningful lives with personal and social responsibility, based on their own life stories.


To support our mission, we are looking for:

  • Social workers (m/f/d)
  • Trainee social workers (m/f/d) in their 5th semester or with a completed education as an educator
  • Staterecognized educators (m/f/d)
for our residential groups, each with 9-10 children between the ages of 3-18, in part-time (20 hours).


Responsibilities:

  • Care for the children and youth in a primary caregiver system
  • Support in daily situations and leisure activities
  • Communication with schools and training facilities
  • Medical care
  • Communication with support systems (youth welfare office, parents, therapists, etc.)
  • Reporting


You have a respectful attitude towards children, youth, and adults regardless of their age, gender, origin, or religious beliefs? Your pedagogical approach is characterized by empathy and the ability to assert yourself positively? In our small teams, you can contribute cooperatively and constructively and continue to develop personally and professionally.
