Overview:

We are seeking an exceptional Operations Manager of Field Services to lead our Field operations.

Reporting directly to the Operations Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless service delivery, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

Your leadership and expertise will be instrumental in driving excellence in field and construction services, fostering a culture of operational excellence, SAFETY and strengthening customer relationships.

You will be responsible for promoting and delivering profitable business within Powells strategic vision and practices.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Work directly with the Operations Director and other key stake holders in driving corporate and divisional strategy of improved tempo, expanded offerings, and overall growth initiatives, while delivering successful business performance metrics.
  • Field Service Management: Oversee all aspects of field service operations, including SAFETY, scheduling, resource allocation, service delivery, and customer support departments. Ensure timely response to customer requests, efficient utilization of resources, and exceptional service quality.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand customer requirements, resolve issues, and enhance customer satisfaction. Implement customercentric processes and drive a culture of proactive and personalized service delivery.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a highperforming field service team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning. Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to ensure team members have the skills and support to excel in their roles.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess field service performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions. Regularly analyze data and provide insights to the Operations Director for informed decisionmaking.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control procedures for field service operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. Drive a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement within the field service department.
  • Crossfunctional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments, such as sales, engineering, and logistics, to ensure seamless coordination of field service activities. Foster effective communication channels and coordinate efforts to deliver exceptional customer support. Work with business stakeholders in the continued refinement of Powell
- s EPiC (design build electrical project offering). Continue growth of resources and crafts required to deliver safe and profitable project deliverables. Enhance offerings and work with sales and marketing team to develop customer messaging and sales strategy for EPiC deliverables.


Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience in a managerial role within field service/construction operations, preferably in the electrical infrastructure or related industry.

Demonstrated track record of driving customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and service delivery improvements.

Strong knowledge of electrical field service/construction management principles, service quality control, safety, and customer support best practices.


Excellent leadership skills, including the ability to inspire and motivate teams, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and drive change.

Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze complex operational challenges, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.


Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.


Working Environment
The employee typically performs duties in both a manufacturing shop and in a normal office environment. There will be exposure to the elements of our shop. Additionally, there may be some work performed in the field with exposure to construction sites or active customer facilities.
