    Description


    We are seeking a Data Scientist (Specializing in ML and ML Ops with SageMaker) to join our growing team of analytic experts.

    The ideal candidate has experience in reporting, data visualization, interpreting data and analyzing results.

    They will prepare, acquire, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets and present analysis on forecasts and trends.

    They will conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses and establish reviews and analyses of data accuracy using operational metrics and report making.

    Excellent analytical problem-solving skills are required.

    This position is hybrid in Provo, Utah.

    Compensation is $120, DOE

    Responsibilities


    Develop and refine machine learning models, with a focus on regression, computer vision/image recognition, NLP, and LLMs, using Amazon SageMaker and other relevant tools.

    Lead foundational work in ML and ML Ops, setting up scalable and efficient machine learning pipelines.
    Build, maintain, and optimize data models and data automation systems to support key business decisions.
    Design and implement analytics solutions to process and analyze large datasets.
    Provide insights and analysis on trends utilizing advanced data analytics techniques.
    Aggregate and preprocess data for analysis and machine learning model training.
    Conduct ad hoc analysis and reports to identify risks and opportunities for business improvement.
    Develop and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that enhance visibility and operational efficiencies.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
    Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data science with a strong emphasis on machine learning and ML Ops.
    Proven experience in working with large datasets and complex data structures.
    Strong ability to present and communicate data-driven insights effectively.
    Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, and ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
    Demonstrated expertise in Amazon SageMaker and other cloud-based ML solutions.
    In-depth knowledge of data analysis, machine learning algorithms, and statistical modeling.
    Proficient in Business Intelligence Tools (e.g., Tableau, Sigma), and experience in integrating ML models with these tools.
    Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in work.

    Preferred Skills

    Experience in building scalable data pipelines and implementing ML solutions in a production environment.
    Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for ML Ops.
    Experience with dashboard creation and visualization tools for interpreting model outputs and data insights.
