Mariscos San Pedro is an upcoming Mexican seafood restaurant located in Pilsen by the owners of Taqueria Chingon, Obélix, and Le Bouchon set to open mid-June.


The Pilsen community is a thriving center of culture and hospitality, and our hope is that the property at 18th & Allport is a beacon for that culture.

Mariscos San Pedro and sister concepts 16 On Center's Punch House, Tack Room, and the renowned venue Thalia Hall continue to be a destination for fine people to gather around art, entertainment, and great food and beverage.


Position Summary
We are searching for
Hosts to join our team, starting in early June. This role requires a passion for providing exceptional service and creating a welcoming environment for our guests.

As part of our dedicated team of hosts, you will play a vital role in ensuring that guests feel valued and attended to from the moment they arrive.

We take ourselves seriously, but also pride ourselves on fostering a work environment that is fun, balanced, and collaborative.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival, guide them to their tables, and present menus while also managing the seating process efficiently
  • Present menus and provide detailed explanations of menu items, specials, and promotions
  • Maintain a clean and organized host area, ensuring it is presentable at all times
  • Communicate with guests to understand their seating preferences and accommodate special requests
  • Manage the waitlist effectively, providing accurate wait time estimates and updates to guests
  • Coordinate with FOH and BOH team to ensure a smooth flow of seating and dining service
  • Monitor dining room activity and address any issues or concerns that arise promptly and professionally
  • Uphold a positive attitude and professional appearance at all times, representing the restaurant in a favorable manner
  • Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, with a positive attitude and a willingness to problemsolve
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Knowledge of reservation systems and basic computer skills is a plus
