This position will be located in one of the following airports or remote
ONT (Ontario, CA)/MCI (Kansas City, MO)/STL (St. Louis, MO)/PDX (Portland, OR)/IAH (Houston, TX)
DIRECTOR OPERATIONS PERFORMANCE AT PRIMEFLIGHT
The Director of Operations Performance provides strategic leadership, vision, and acts as a resource for the organization's Cargo department.
This position provides guidance to their indirect/direct reports that should result in safe and profitable stations that provide excellent operational service.
This position drives change as necessary for the company with a relentless mindset of continuous improvement on operational processes, performance, and accountability.
Responsible for overall performance of the stations that typically operate 24/7 and execution of corporate initiatives.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify, develop, and execute standards and best practices across network operations to drive operational excellence
- Establish standard work instructions focused on creating solutions to reach goals that are safety and customer centric
- Direct and coach activities of the station operations and station managers while affecting positive change within the region and promoting adherence to company policies and procedures
- Monitor daily operational KPIs to ensure processes are being followed and results are exceeding established targets
- Routinely communicate and meet with customers fostering bestinclass partnerships
- Develops operating and business plans based on customer operations
- Maximize data analysis to create business tools to move the business forward and continuously raise the bar on safety and service levels
- Provide guidance and leadership to the functional and operations management within the region, including areas such as labor relations, operations efficiencies, maintenance, facility oversight, ADA, safety/security and other functional areas
- Help identify, develop, and mentor highpotential talent to develop the next level of company leaders
- Ensure the highest level of safety compliance across the region
- Liaise with TSA, CBP and other government/airport officials on security requirements
- Knowledge of relevant federal and state employment laws
- Manage cost control and financial/budget experience across multiple locations
- Strong written and oral communication skills with executive leaders, operations managers, airline customer leadership, and vendors
- Understanding P/L to drive revenue goals and cost control
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Logistics, Transportation or related field preferred
- Knowledge of the Aviation Industry
- Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
- Minimum age of 18 years old
- 8 or more years of management experience, 5 or more years' experience in aviation/distribution is required
- Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Travel requirement >50% travel between airport stations and for meeting
- Ability to influence people at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work effectively with labor, including labor grievances and negotiations
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents
- Ability to pass a drug screen
- Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal
- Physical activity may include:
- Stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift 25 pounds or more
- Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms generated by terminal environment
