Position Description:

The Research Assistant II will work with the Principal Investigator (PI) on clinical trial research for the division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine. This research includes industry-sponsored, NIH, and Investigator-initiated research studies involving human subjects. This is a part time position 29 hours per week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform required study-related activities according to the study protocols. This includes recruiting and screening potential research subjects, obtaining informed consent, collecting required data, assisting with surgical procedures, blood draw, laboratory processing and shipments of specimens, and dispensing of study medications, devices, and/or clinical trial materials as delegated by the PI.
Complete all required institutional research courses and certifications, study specific trainings, and maintain current professional license.
Interact with study sponsors, funding agencies, and oversight bodies in support of research efforts, growth, and development of clinical research activities.
Collect data from various sources (direct or retrospective sources) and prepare data for analysis; maintain and update all clinical trial materials.
Assist faculty, fellows, and residents with study development for IRB submission and provide basic training on research policies and procedures.
Work with PI on research papers that will be published.

Preferred Qualifications

Interest in or experience working with clinical trial research and/or cardiovascular medicine.

Target Compensation Maximum:
$24.77
Target Compensation Minimum:
$16.51
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
