Job DescriptionMcLeod Centers for Wellbeing was founded in 1969 in Charlotte, North Carolina. It has since grown to be the largest provider of comprehensive substance use disorder treatment in western North Carolina. From initial assessment to customized aftercare, McLeod Centers provides compassionate, steadfast support for our patients' journey to recovery. We are looking for passionate people to join our team as we work to build a foundation of healing and hope based on equity, education, and evidence-based practice for all communities.
McLeod Centers for Wellbeing is currently accepting applications for a Full-time Care Navigator. Reporting to the Director of Nursing, the Care Navigator interacts with many patients, educating and guiding them through treatment procedures. They accurately interpret medical information to patients and help them access quality treatment for their conditions. Many navigators serve as representatives for their patient's best interests when searching for medical consultations, diagnostics, treatment and recovery from other healthcare professionals.
This role is grant funded.

Education/Experience:
Minimum Associate's degree in Nursing
Certificates/Licenses:
Valid NC RN/LPN or RN/LPN from another state that participates in the multistate nurse licensure compact.
Must possess valid driver's license and meet McLeod Centers' standards of automobile insurability.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Work Environment:
The role is hybrid. When office-based, the employee will work in a typical office environment and as such will be exposed to normal noise levels. The employee will be frequently talking to patients, co-workers, and outside professionals.
