You love the idea of founding a new grade level at a public charter school in Compton, CA and teaching math and science.

We're looking for strong, credentialed or permit eligible teachers for this middle school that opened in August 2023. The school started with 5th grade only and will add a 6th grade for the '24-'25 school year. This is a great opportunity for experienced teachers to build something amazing in a small school setting. California teaching credentials strongly preferred.

What You'll Do

Teach 344 periods of math and science to approx student per class
Curriculum used is called Ready Mathematics; science is Amplify
Teach the knowledge and skills, nurture the confidence and character, and inspire the passion needed for our students to achieve their goals, live their best lives, and positively impact the world
Value and draw upon students' experiences and backgrounds
Utilize a variety of instructional strategies based on the diverse needs of all the students that engage all students
Develop and administer a variety of assessments to measure students' growth towards goals and to monitor students mastery of the content standards
Analyze informal and formal student assessment results and use this information to drive and inform instruction

Pay:
$66, $115,000.00 per year
