    Small non-profit senior citizens' residence near downtown DC seeks caring and compassionate Resident Care Specialist to join our close-knit team.

    Incumbent will provide assistance in all phases of resident care including, but not limited to:

    medication management and administration; taking vitals (BP, pulse, blood sugar, etc.) and preparing monthly reports; assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs); identifying and assisting residents with potential problems; coordinating with Administration to provide referral services, as needed, and monitoring the status of referrals; scheduling and arranging transportation to/from medical appointments.


    The right person will have a positive, friendly attitude and commitment to fostering a pleasant and safe environment in which residents feel confident, comfortable and cared for.

    Passion for working with the elderly; objective and empathetic understanding of the residents' attitudes, behaviors and needs; and tolerance, tact, alertness, emotional stability, and maturity.

    MINIMUM of one year experience working with the geriatric population in a residential setting (i.e. group home, assisted living, nursing home, etc.).


    LPN or Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA) is REQUIRED. Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. COVID vaccination (including boosters) required for all employees. Weekend and holiday availability is a MUST. Individuals who do not meet MINIMUM qualifications and/or cannot work weekends or holidays NEED NOT APPLY.
