Description

Major, Lindsey & Africa's Interim Legal Talent group has an immediate need for a full time Temp-to-Perm Contract Paralegal.

Overview: Our client is seeking a temp-to-perm Contract Paralegal for full time work to convert to a permanent position after approximately 3 months.

Company: Client is a premier company in the hospitality sector.

Experience:

7-20 years of paralegal experience in contract law.
Experience as a paralegal or contract manager
Contract experience is essential
Ability to negotiate with client and handle high volume of contracts
Ability to manage outside counsel

Additional "nice to have" experience:

Experience in hospitality/hotel/real estate, service industry such as restaurants etc can be beneficial, but more important to have great contract experience.
Experience assisting with litigation/discovery would be nice to have
Ability to help with occasional real estate acquisition deals also would be nice.

Location: Hybrid – Merrillville IN. In office 2 days/week, and remote 3 days/week.

Responsibilities Include:

Contract drafting and review
Contract negotiation with vendors
Ability to negotiate terms and conditions and choose other clauses for contracts
Know when contract disagreements need to get escalated
Ability to deal with about 40 contracts/month
Managing outside counsel

Additional potential responsibilities:

Occasional ability to assist with real estate acquisition deals
Occasional assistance with discovery on litigation matters.

Qualifications Include:

Experience as a paralegal in the United States
