Description
The Department of Statistics at Oklahoma State University is seeking candidates for a Teaching Assistant Professor position to begin August 2024.
Duties include undergraduate and graduate level teaching, coordination of graduate teaching assistants, assisting in program development & accreditation/assessment, and departmental service.
This is a renewable appointment, with typical appointment terms of three years. There is the possibility of promotion to Associate Teaching Professor & Teaching Professor.The Department of Statistics is administratively located within the College of Arts and Sciences at Oklahoma State University and currently has eight full time faculty tenured/tenure track, two teaching assistant professors, one lecturer and 20-25 graduate students.
The Department offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Statistics, and an M.S. in Applied Statistics.
Oklahoma State University is located in Stillwater in north-central Oklahoma, approximately 60 miles from both Oklahoma City and Tulsa. The University has about 24,000 students, including 4,000 enrolled in the Graduate College.
