    Description

    The Oklahoma State University (OSU) Department of Computer Science is seeking applications for an open-rank, open expertise tenure-track position, and two career-track Teaching Assistant Professor positions (one for Stillwater campus and one for Tulsa campus). An earned Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely-related field from an accredited institution is required at the time of appointment. For the positions at the main OSU campus in Stillwater, duties may be assigned in either the OSU-Stillwater campus, the OSU satellite campus in Tulsa, or both.

    The OSU Department of Computer Science ) is strongly committed to excellence in research, teaching, and outreach. The Department offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science, a new B.S. degree in Applied Computer Programming, along with a minor and graduate certificate program in Big Data Analytics. The Department also offers online courses to students at remote sites. Our recent student enrollment is about 415 undergraduate and 110 graduate students across all our majors.

    Candidates for the Tenure Track position will be evaluated based on their demonstrated and/or potential for research, teaching, and service excellence commensurate with rank. Faculty are expected to pursue research collaborations with other faculty, industry, and research institutions.

    The Teaching Assistant Professor position will be evaluated on demonstrated and/or potential for teaching and service. However, Teaching Assistant Professors are encouraged, but not required, to explore research and collaboration opportunities with other faculty, industry, and research institutions.
