As a Manufacturing Technical Applications Specialist, you will apply IS manufacturing knowledge and expertise to select and deploy manufacturing solutions across divisions production sites.

You will be a key resource and a definitive source of knowledge about manufacturing systems who contributes to enhance operations efficiency and support the organization's vision and strategic direction.

Your responsibilitiesAct as the technical leader and the IS/IT SME for the operations in providing expertise related to Manufacturing SystemsParticipate in solution evaluation and selection.

Be responsible for technical requirements managementBe responsible for business processes execution within Manufacturing SystemsSupport systems integration and data management for project, dashboards, reports, and migrationFacilitate the integration of manufacturing systems data within the analytics platform and data warehouseTroubleshootany problemsand propose efficient solutionsTranslate business requirements into high-quality system requirement specificationsPerform business analysis with process workflow diagrams, design, and gap analysisContribute to project design accordingly with the IT compliance framework and architecture rulesAssist with user acceptance testing for implementation and enhancementsManage small/medium projects with scoping, planning, implementation estimates, delivery management complying with agreed timeline and budgetUpdate the existing documentation and trainings upon the changes and evolutionsRoll-out the projects and changes into production system following the IT Change Control processesUse Agile methodology to accelerate implementation and foster on business valueManage upgrade strategies across all systems, software, and databasesBe responsible for the project documentation in all the project phasesProvide instructions to development teams and ensure that the people skills are aligned with the manufacturing applications portfolioManage subcontractors involved in projects and support activitiesYour backgroundRequire Bachelor's degree with 10 plus years of experience in management of applications for manufacturing operations5 plus years of experience effectively implementing MES or/and CMMS systems for manufacturingExcellent knowledge of manufacturing technologies and processes, quality, planning and technologies like MES, CMMS, QMS and PLMExperience with solutions deployment in multiple sites and countriesExperience with ERP integration and ERP processesExperience with database, data architecture and query languagesExcellent technical and analytical problem-solving skillsLeadership in solutioning and proactively proposing improvementExcellent communication and ability to work in a multi-cultural environmentHighly effective at business process and business systems analysisEffective team member with demonstrated leadership, team working, organization and time management skillsCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the USBenefits Retirement plan Life insurance Disability insurance Healthcare plan Wellbeing program More about usABB Installation Products Division (formerly Thomas&Betts),is the number one manufacturer of electrification products in North America with a 125-year history of providing innovation and customer- focused solutions for connecting and protecting electrical systems, as well as a unique differentiated medium voltage offering.
