Areas of responsibility
Diploma judicial officers (FH) exercise their duties at courts and public prosecutor's offices with professional independence. Their position is comparable to that of a judge. In their decisions, they are only bound by their conscience and the law and are not subject to any instructions of a substantive nature. The area of responsibility as a diploma judicial officer (FH) is very diverse and includes important parts of the legal system, which were previously mainly the responsibility of judges. In addition, you are a civil servant and enjoy corresponding benefits.

The area of responsibility is broad and therefore very diverse. As a judicial officer, you are responsible for, among other things, at the district courts:

  • the management or leadership of forced sales of properties in your own responsibility (forced sale court)
  • the opening of wills and the issuance of certificates of inheritance (probate court)
  • the registration of changes in ownership, mortgages, etc. (land registry office)
  • the supervision and advice of guardians appointed for adults in need of assistance (guardians
