Our exceptional membership is international and consists of hundreds of facilities in the United States, Canada, Europe and the South Pacific.


The Administrative Support Specialist is a key member of the Selected Team consisting of 10 dedicated professionals who collaborate to meet the unique needs of our membership as they serve their communities with care and compassion.

About the Position_

The Administrative Support Specialist plays an essential role in supporting our operations, meetings and member programs areas. This person is responsible for office communications, equipment, supplies, documentation, administrative and clerical support.

This position also is responsible for all tasks pertaining to securing continuing education approval for Selected's NextGen Seminar, Annual Meeting, and occasional additional meetings from all relevant governing bodies, and ensuring all meeting participants receive credit as needed.

This position is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, in-office Monday through Friday, 9 am to 4:45 pm.

Experience_

  • Three to five years administrative experience, preferably in a professional association or related field. Experience with continuing education support and event management experience a plus.
  • Advanced organizational, project management and communications skills. Quick learner, adaptable and detailoriented.
  • Strong working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Zoom, MS Teams, QuickBooks, database software and appsbased programs.
  • Customer service experience and mindset. Collaborative with a Team player mentality.

  • Great communicator. Exceptional customer service skills and service mindset. Excellent verbal and written communications as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational skills. Organization and prioritization are the core elements of your responsibilities. You must know how to keep yourself organized, manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Collaborator. Ability to collaborate with other staff members, and outside support personnel, management, and members on a regular basis. A selfstarter, who enjoys working on and with a team.
  • Writing. Spelling, punctuation, sentence structure and writing are essential to this position. Must be proficient in a variety of styles, from creative to professional to technical to educational.
  • Decisionmaking. Ability to make independent decisions daily, addressing the best way to handle specific situations.
  • Reasoning. Ability to understand, analyze and solve practical problems. Be a solutionseeker.
