    BAE Systems is in search of a skilled Principal level Software Engineer to join us in creating state-of-the-art solutions in Communications, Navigation, and Electronic Warfare for our defense clientele.


    As part of this role, you'll work collaboratively with Systems, Hardware, and Test engineers throughout different project phases, such as Project Planning, Requirements Development, Design, Development, Integration, and Testing. You'll be responsible for creating design and project-related documents to be used across various programs, ensuring compliance with established procedures. This position offers ample learning opportunities, allowing you to utilize existing technologies, integrate new ones, and take on a leadership role within our engineering division.

    To qualify for this role, the ideal candidate must hold an active DoD Secret level security clearance, possess a Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, and have experience in embedded and/or application software development in C++. Additionally, familiarity with Object-Oriented design principles, software and systems engineering processes, software testing, and the ability to lead technical teams is essential.


    Preferred qualifications include proficiency in real-time embedded development, full life cycle software development, languages such as C#, Python, Java, operating systems like Green Hills/VxWorks/Windows/Linux, Continuous Integration Tools, and Agile Development methodologies. Experience in software algorithm design/implementation, project leadership, GIT, Jira, Confluence, are also desirable.


    Pay Information: Full-Time Salary Range: $234,840


    It's important to note that actual salaries may vary based on multiple factors such as business requirements, local market conditions, candidate qualifications, and more.


    Considering the nature of this role, which necessitates consistent in-person collaboration and on-site work, the position is full-time at a BAE Systems facility.
