Your tasks

As an industrial mechanic (m/f/d), you manufacture devices and production systems, set them up or convert them. You monitor and optimize production processes and take on repair and maintenance tasks. For these tasks, you produce components made of metal or plastic and assemble them. You also assemble prefabricated parts into machine tools and other special machines.

Training process

The training period is 3.5 years. The first year takes place at the IHK training center in Neuwied. From the second year onwards, you will rotate through relevant departments at WEIG-Karton. In between, you will attend theoretical and practical modules at the IHK in Neuwied. Classes will be held at the vocational school in Andernach.
