Full job description
Essential Duties:
Primarily responsible for preparing plumbing surveys and estimates, identifying labor, material, and time requirements.
- Completing site surveys for prospective plumbing and boiler jobs and gathering key details in order to prepare a comprehensive proposal for the job.
- Analyzing requirement documents, blueprints, and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project
- Determining what factors will influence the cost of a service or product (e.g. travel time, lead times, accessibility to job location, administrative requirements)
- Preparing estimates for the projects surveyed based on labor, materials and administrative work required in a timely manner
- Developing and maintaining relationships with customers
- Prepare a detailed cost analysis
- Presenting prepared estimates to management
- Communicating with field team to ensure that they have all information and direction to be able to efficiently complete the job
- Communicating with the service supervisor when jobs proposed are initiated to ensure that all details are in order to complete jobs in the most efficient manner
- Attend various city/utility inspections pertaining to jobs surveyed and occasional others
- Curb emergency situations that may be presented on site visits [e.g. shut water if there's a flood, call utility if there's a gas leak, etc]
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in NYC DOB and DEP Code
- Proficiency in DOB BIS,
DOB:
InspectionReady and DOBNow and ability to navigate the websites to look up relevant information to the various jobs
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Report writing and strategic planning skills
- Familiarity with analyzing requirement data to develop material and cost estimates for large projects
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
- Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional time management skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with team members
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Able to demonstrate integrity, professionalism, civility, and a high degree of ethics in all jobrelated actions
- Ability to work independently and carryout assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Pay:
$75, $150,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
