    Job Description

    Sompo International is seeking a

    Senior Underwriter

    for our Sompo Pro team in our

    Alpharetta, GA

    office.


    Our Sompo Pro underwriting team handles various Professional lines of coverage including Architects & Engineers (A&E), Miscellaneous Professional Liability (MPL), Insurance Agents/Brokers (IA&B), Cyber, and Technology Errors and Omissions (E&O).

    We partner with both retail agents and wholesale brokers specializing in these lines of coverage.

    Our team is built upon a foundation of providing strong service, long terms partnership, and innovative solutions to our trading.


    Responsibilities:
    Cultivate a book of business in Professional Liabilities such as MPL, Tech E&O, Cyber, Media, A&E, and IA&B with a focus on the Southeast region to facilitate the expansion of business growth and opportunities
    Evaluate individual risks to structure, and price programs tailored to each client's needs
    Maintain and enhance existing broker relationships as well as identify and develop new relationships with both retail and wholesale partners
    Foster existing client relationships while building a new client base to expand your business portfolio
    Develop and execute a marketing plan and individualized tactics for brokers and assigned territories to support the growth of your business
    Collaborate with team members during account discussions for analysis and evaluation of risk


    Qualifications:
    Minimum of 5 years of underwriting experience in professional lines such MPL, Tech E&O, Cyber Liability, Media Liability, A&E, and IA&B
    Experience establishing and expanding relationships with retail and wholesale producers
    Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas to influence and grow our business
    Knowledgeable in underwriting, quoting, and binding profitable business
    Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time
