    Shift :
    Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) (
    Shift Requirements: 4x12 or 3x12)

    Duration : 13 Weeks


    Certification Requirements:

    BCLS

    Skillset Requirements:
    Minimum 2 Years Experience and IV Start

    Skillset Preferences:
    Level 1 Trauma Experience and Telemetry

    Floating Requirements:
    Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed at both University and Methodist Hospitals

    Staffing Ratios: 1:4-5


    Unit Information:
    GI/Liver Medical patients, ERCP, CAPD, Pre-transplant, Chronic Pancreatitis


    Job Summary:
    We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical team.

    As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care, assess patient conditions, administer medications, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care.


    Duties:

    • Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' medical conditions
    • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
    • Monitor and document patient vital signs and progress
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
    • Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment plans, and preventive measures
    • Assist with diagnostic procedures and provide support during surgeries
    • Ensure compliance with hospital standards, protocols, and infection control measures
    • Utilize electronic medical record systems to maintain accurate patient records

    Qualifications:

    • Valid Registered Nurse license in IN License
    • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical/surgical setting
    • Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
    • Proficiency in performing sonography, tube feeding, IV insertion, and other relevant procedures
    • Experience in case management and home care is a plus
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work well under pressure
