The SRM Operational Maintenance Operator will perform maintenance on the special equipment of the SRM in accordance with instruction or factory policies and procedures.

The employee will ensure safe and harmonious work throughout his/her shift.

Working Conditions:

Working conditions are the same as the conditions provided in the pipe manufacturing industry. It requires working in dusty, noisy, and greasy environments. Environment temperature is dependent upon weather conditions.

Work involves lifting, pulling and/or pushing of materials and product up to 50 pounds, and standing and walking considerable distances.

Operation requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, and hardhats.

Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.


  • Qualifications
:

1.1. A High School diploma or GED equivalent.

1.2. Minimum 5 years within a similar work field is required.

1.3. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.

1.4. Manual dexterity required for operating, machinery, hand tools, and hand-held measurement devices.

1.5. Experience operating measuring devices such as calipers and micrometers.

1.6. Knowledge of mechanic assembly, welding, and working with required tolerance conditions.

1.7. Advanced mechanics knowledge is required.

1.8. Strong ability to follow up on work.

1.9. Employee must be able to work with a flexible schedule which may require over-time and weekends when needed.


  • Responsibilities
:

2.1. Loading and moving the required equipment into the maintenance area at maintenance times.

2.2. Follow up of the preparation of consumables in accordance with the maintenance plan.

2.3.

To follow the production closely, to intervene immediately regarding any issues caused by the equipment for which it is responsible.

2.4. Communicating and working together with the workstation operators.

2.5. Keeping spare of critical equipment and managing their consumables.

2.6. Be as efficient as possible with consumables.

2.7. Take notes of points requiring maintenance and notify the Supervisor and Engineer.

2.8. Using the saw grinding machine.

2.9. Giving feedback to the Supervisor and production Engineer.

2.10. Train other workers on maintenance of SRM equipment.

2.11. Keeping the maintenance parameter and settings within the MES/PC.

2.12. Not making changes to the maintenance instruction without the approval of the Supervisor and Engineer.

2.13. Employee must follow all PPE policies and safety rules.

2.14. Employee must follow the 5S implementation procedure.


  • Activities
:

3.1. Control of the equipment in the production line.

3.2. Identification of maintenance points.

3.3. Control of spare parts and consumables.

3.4. Make sure all spare equipment is ready for SRM operation.

3.5. Record maintenance activity and current consumable situation on MES/PC.

3.6. Identify the causes of operational errors and inform the Supervisors and production Engineer.

3.7. Communicate with crew and other departments to achieve a quality product.

3.8. This position may require operating a Forklift and Overhead Crane.

3.9. Other duties as assigned.


  • Authority and Obligation
:

4.1 This position has the authority to stop operations in cases of Safety and/or Quality being in question.
