Responsibilities:
Position is for the Material Manager, NSWCPD Code 00Q support, to be part of team supporting Quality Assurance and Technical Administration Support services.
This support will include supporting:
Quality Management System Program, Systems Engineering Process (SEP) Quality Assurance Program, Shipboard Work Quality Assurance Program, Command Level I Material Program, SUBSAFE Program Office, Special Programs/Test Site Quality Assurance, and Naval Foundry Propeller Center (NFPC).
The primary support will be to the NSWCPD Quality Management Office C/00Q Quality Management System (QMS).The QMS is focused on consistently meeting customer requirements and enhancing customer satisfaction, ensuring that functional areas are compliant with Navy standards and the NSWCPD QMS.
The QMS Division ensures that the performance and quality of services conform to established internal and external standards and guidelines.
NSWCPD C/00Q is responsible for providing quality planning, quality control, quality assurance and quality improvement, and the oversight of functional areas to ensure continuous process improvements are implemented.
The QMS team facilitates and participates in Critiques and trouble reports, conducts audits, surveillances and self-assessments, inputs, tracks and evaluates command quality commitments, maintains Quality Management System (QMS) and website repositories.
The Material Manager will be part of the support team to ensure, enact, and validate project execution in accordance with Department of Navy requirements and within time constraints.
The Quality Assurance Specialist will:
- support the C/00Q LIPM with the required Material Management tasks.
- provide support to NSWCPD LIPM to ensure that all NSWCPD SUBAFE/Level I Material is handled, controlled, tracked, packaged, and stored IAW NAVSEA LP , as well as the applicable NSWCPD QMS procedures.
- work with Naval Business Operations.
- work proficiently with Systems Applications and Products in Data Processing (SAP) and/or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) material control modules.
- perform SAP/ERP transactions related to shipping, receiving, and storage of operating, material and supplies.
- maintain and control SUBSAFE and Level I Material in accordance with Navy Requirements.
- review and understand NSWCPD procedural requirements.
- attend program meetings and report status back to LIPM and all applicable areas.
- coordinate with technical codes and NAVSEA Logistics Center personnel for receiving, transferring, storage, and shipping of Level I controlled material.
- prepare controlled material for transferring, storage, and or shipping IAW NAVSEA LP and local processes and procedures by ensuring the material in container is suitable, securing material inside the shipping container, and marking the container accordingly.
- complete and stay current with NSWCPD Command Level I Training
- attend Level I Program Team meetings at a frequency determined by the LIPM.
- assist the LIPM in all internal and external audits of the NSWCPD Level I Program.
- meet the following daily physical demands:
Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with a Secret Security Clearance
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Four (4) years of professional experience with SAP/ERP.
