    Job Description

    The Supervisor of Behavioral Consultation Services collaborates with the Director of Adult Services and a team of behavioral consultants to offer a variety of applied behavior analytic (ABA) assessment and clinical services for adolescents and adults, aged 18 and above, with autism spectrum and related neurodevelopmental disorders. This role involves overseeing a clinical team of behavior analysts who are accountable for client progress, caregiver training, and satisfaction with the services provided. Furthermore, the position involves developing systems and tools to ensure the delivery of high-quality evidence-based services, along with providing behavioral consultation services for approximately 15 hours per week.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Clinical Systems Development, Implementation, and Quality Assurance

    • Enhance and update VIA Centers for Neurodevelopment (VIA)'s behavioral consultation model to align with cutting-edge research and evidence-based practices
    • Work with the Director of Adult Services to establish and execute best practice policies related to skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs

    • Supervise data collection systems to uphold a high level of treatment fidelity
    • Ensure behavior analysts adhere to VIA's professional standards and BACB ethical codes
    • Provide regular updates on behavior analysts' caseloads during management meetings

    Professional Development and Supervision

    • Conduct staff training on VIA's clinical policies and procedures as needed
    • Provide weekly supervision to ensure staff progress, competence, and client satisfaction
    • Identify training needs and promote professional growth opportunities for behavior analysts
    • Oversee the creation and implementation of behavior plans in compliance with standards and regulations
    • Conduct performance evaluations of behavior analysts annually
    • Collaborate with the Supervisor of Club & Hub for the supervision of RBTs

    Behavioral Consultation Services

    • Administer and assess functional assessments
    • Create person-centered behavioral outcomes and interventions for various programs
    • Adjust interventions promptly as required and ensure proper staff training
    • Provide training to parents/caregivers on intervention implementation and data collection
    • Consult with other stakeholders as necessary
    • Oversee individual program progress and review data regularly
    • Complete all documentation promptly and as directed
    • Respond to service referrals promptly

    Position Type

    This is a full-time role with a flexible schedule to accommodate client needs, involving travel in and around Charlottesville.

    Requirements:
    • Master's degree in behavior analysis or related field
    • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification and Virginia license required
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience working with individuals with ASD and developmental disabilities
    • At least 3 years' experience in a consulting role within the autism or developmental disability sector
    • Experience in supervising behavior analysts desired
    • Proficiency in behavior analytic goal development, functional assessments, and ABA procedures
    • Excellent writing and communication skills with strong organizational abilities
