Job Purpose:

Ensures successful completion of assigned audit engagements, from start to finish, inclusive of preplanning and wrap up activities. Reports to Director of Quality. Manages and directs daily activities of more junior auditors assigned to assist the Senior Auditor during an engagement. Develop and coordinate audit schedules based on customer and internal requirements. Assist in the administration of the Certified Supplier Program under the guidance of the Quality Systems Manager.


Principal Accountabilities:


  • Under mínimal supervision, conduct supplier audits and internal quality system audits, product, and process audits.
  • Develops audit criteria based on customer and internal requirements and conducts internal audits of quality systems, manufacturing processes and products to ensure requirements are met. Documents results and initiates corrective action requests. Performs follow up on corrective actions to ensure timely implementation and adequacy.
  • Conducts audits at supplier's facilities to ensure internal and customer requirements are met. Travel may be required. Documents results and initiates corrective action requests. Performs follow up on corrective actions to ensure timely implementation and adequacy.
  • Coordinates follow up of corrective actions for nonconforming material with MRB coordinator to ensure timely implementation and adequacy.
  • Leads coordinating customer audits. Communicates with appropriate personnel to ensure adequate internal preparation for audits. Initiates corrective action requests, as required, and performs follow up to ensure timely and adequate implementation.
  • Maintains quality measurements associated with internal audit results and performs trend analysis for management review.
  • Assists in training new auditors in audit techniques as well as internal and customer requirements.

SAFETY - Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations and product quality standards issued by OSHA, EPA, and other federal, state and local regulatory agencies. Maintains a constant awareness towards safety in the workplace and notifies supervision immediately of hazardous conditions and practices.


QUALITY - Exhibits commitment to quality performance in all aspects of every task or project performed. Familiarity with AS9100D and AS13100.


MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS & SPECIFICATIONS:


EDUCATION
Requires a 4-year technical degree, or equivalent.


Experience and Knowledge
Requires 4 years' experience in a related manufacturing/quality environment, preferably in the aerospace industry. Requires 3 years' experience as an auditor. ASQC Certified Auditor and ISO 9000 audit training are required. Knowledge of quality systems and inspection techniques required. General knowledge of blueprint interpretation and manufacturing processes, such as NDT, machining, heat treating, welding, and chem-milling is required.


Pay:
$ $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
