Job Description:

Electronics Technician Maintenance III


Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers' manuals or similar documents.

Examples of such problems include determining the location and density of circuitry, evaluating electromagnetic radiation, isolating malfunctions, and incorporating engineering; changes.

Work typically requires an understanding of the interrelationships of circuits, exercising independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow, using complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment.


WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Required Experience: 3+ years of related experience

  • Required Technical Skills: Experience with bench top electronics troubleshooting including multimeters, oscilloscopes, soldering irons and power supplies. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in solving problems and accomplishing goals.
  • Security Clearance Level: Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Ability to operate, troubleshoot and maintain data acquisition systems;
Support design, development, integration and testing of large-scale data acquisition and signal processing systems;

  • Preferred Skills:
  • Previous experience with U.S. Navy Ships and Submarines
  • Knowledge of submarine sonar interfaces and sensors
  • Location: On Customer Site
  • US Citizenship Required

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $ $38.70. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.

Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
