Description
Job Title: Director of Biostatistics at BiogenAbout This Role: This is a great opportunity to join the Biostatistics team at Biogen, a well-known leader in biotechnology. The Director of Biostatistics is in charge of leading study design and analysis for programs, ensuring quality decision-making for the portfolio. They also act as a key interface with stakeholders, providing coaching to statisticians, and contributing to process improvement initiatives.
What You'll Do:
- Offer statistical and drug development expertise to specific programs
- Coach and supervise a small team of statisticians
- Engage with stakeholders on clinical development planning, trial design, and analysis
- Bring strategic solutions to enhance success probability
- Communicate with senior leadership for portfolio governance
Who You Are:
If you are technically and operationally astute, passionate about analytics' impact on drug development, and excel in a cross-functional environment, this role is for you. You must influence horizontally and vertically, delivering results while developing your team members.
Qualifications:
Required Skills:
- Ph.D. in statistics or biostatistics with 8+ years' experience in drug development
- Minimum 2 years' experience at a similar level in pharma/biotech
- Proficiency in leading teams and excellent communication skills
- Technical expertise in clinical trials applications
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in different clinical trials phases
- Interaction with regulatory agencies
- Proficiency in R and ability to learn new techniques
