Summary:
- A typical systems engineer analyzes user needs, and then designs, tests, and develops software to meet those needs.
Responsibilities:
- Modify existing databases and database management systems or direct programmers and analysts to make changes.
- Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of the database to the management system or direct others in coding descriptions.
- Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.
- Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate the time and cost required to accomplish the project.
Skills:
- Verbal and written communication skills, problemsolving skills, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
- Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
- Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing, and delivery.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issues.
- Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software.
- Knowledge of computer development software across multiple platforms.
Position's Contributions to Work Group:
- This position will be accountable for the ECM field return process.
Typical task breakdown:
- Track incoming filed returns.
- Complete initial analysis.
- Send units to suppliers.
- Update field return data according to the field return process.
Interaction with team:
- Fastpaced environment.
- Platform and technical leads, Client.
- Quality contacts with primary Suppliers.
Work environment:
- Onsite Office and Lab Based Site.
Education & Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in electronics/ computer engineering.
- 5 to 7 years of experience.
- Including internship and projectrelated experiences.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of electronic circuits.
- Data analysis.
Soft Skills
- Must have a great customer service attitude as most interactions are with our product development groups.
- Must be able to manage individual tasks without direct oversight.
- Good communication skills.
- Teamwork.
- Attention to detail.
