Description

Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and manage backup and recovery solutions for clients' data infrastructure.

Monitor backup systems to ensure data integrity, availability, and compliance with service level agreements.

Perform regular backups, data replication, and offsite storage procedures.

Troubleshoot backup failures and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime.

Develop and maintain backup policies, procedures, and documentation.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify backup requirements and implement solutions to meet business needs.

Perform periodic backup system audits and ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.

Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in data backup and recovery.


Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Backup Administrator or in a similar role.

Proficiency in backup technologies such as Veeam, Comm vault, Veritas Net Backup, or similar.

Experience with cloud backup solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Strong understanding of backup methodologies, data duplication, and encryption techniques.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
