Position Summary:

This position is temp to perm and our client is in the business of manufacturing equipment for major semiconductor companies in the bay area.

Under the direction of the CFO, the general accountant will manage the day to day accounting needs including general ledger management, journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and month-end-closing.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Monitor general ledger activity to confirm accuracy and responding to changes as necessary.
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable reports.
Preparer cost reconciliation schedules.
Assist in monthend reporting procedures.
Interact with department managers regarding budget activity.
Coordinating and ensuring all tasks are completed on time.
Partner with Inventory Control on associated reporting activities.
Participate and support all departmental functions.
Prepare periodic financial statements/reports for management.
Make recommendations for system and process improvements.
Support team members on all accounting issues.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting is preferred.
ERP experience is a plus.
3+ years of prior experience as General Accountant.
Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently and accurately.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Team Player.
Analytical skills, independent decision maker.
Ability to troubleshoot and provide solutions/recommendations to manager.
