    Job Description

    POSITION OVERVIEW
    This job involves assisting in overseeing daily operations in the food and beverage/culinary department. The main duties include ensuring customer and employee satisfaction, sticking to the budget, and complying with standards and legal requirements.


    IDEAL CANDIDATE

    Background and Qualifications

    • Completion of high school or GED; minimum of 3 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or a related field.
    OR

    • 2-year degree from a reputable university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related discipline; at least 1 year experience in food and beverage, culinary, or a related field.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Supporting Daily Operations

    • Assistance in F&B supplies, cleaning supplies, and uniforms procurement.
    • Supervision of daily F&B shift ensuring adherence to all policies, standards, and procedures.
    • Oversight of a monthly self-inspection program for effectiveness.
    • Operation and reporting of any department equipment malfunctions.
    • Monitoring staffing levels to meet guest service and financial objectives.
    • Promotion of trust, respect, and teamwork among team members.
    • Setting goals and plans to organize and prioritize work.
    • Recognition of both successful and failed decisions.
    • Providing feedback to staff on areas needing improvement.
    • Managing cleaning programs in F&B areas and suggesting enhancements.
    • Adhering to property-specific recovery plans and second effort procedures.
    • Being approachable for all team members and embodying brand-specific service culture.

    Delivering Outstanding Customer Service

    • Going the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Setting an example with positive behaviors and relations with guests.
    • Daily management of operations to meet customer expectations and quality standards.
    • Proactive handling of guest concerns and feedback.
    • Being available and approachable for all guests, responding promptly to service requests.
    • Reviewing guest feedback with employees and addressing them effectively.

    ADDITIONAL DUTIES

    • Sharing information with colleagues and supervisors through various communication channels.
    • Analyzing information to solve problems efficiently.
    • Performing hourly tasks if needed.
    • Showing professionalism and courtesy to team members consistently.
    • Understanding budgets, financial reports, and payroll progress.

    The hourly wage range for this position is between $24.04 and $25.96.
