    Description
    Senior Tax Accountant

    $560M Equipment Company-Aurora, CO- up to $100K, no bonus

    The Sizzle
    • Role is fully in the office for first 90 days, then employee can work from home 2x per week
    • Will consider a candidate who is not local for relocation
    • Targeting 2-5 years of experience, public accounting or private experience works
    • CPA preferred
    • Small tax department, can move into supervisor or manager role down the road
    • This role focuses on review and compiling information for tax firm to complete the returns
    • Good benefits, 12 days PTO for the first year, 8 holidays, 401K with match and small profit sharing plan, tuition assistance, free parking, CPA reimbursement
    Minimum Education & Experience
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required
    • CPA or Master's Degree in Accounting or Tax preferred
    • 2-5 years of practical experience in corporate income tax or sales, use tax, and related areas including tax return preparation, filing, and related data gathering and analysis
    Duties & Responsibilities
    • Develops and directs maintenance of record-keeping system for compiling tax information
    • Prepares schedules as needed for annual audit and tax returns
    • Prepares and records journal entries
    • Supports various accounting areas as needed
    • Participates in supporting business unit liaisons
    • Answers calls from both internal and external customers
    • Researches and responds to various tax law questions
    • Takes lead role with audits, research, and other issues
    • Collects information and prepares various returns for the tax areas noted in the Position Summary
    • Ensures timely and accurate payment of tax liability
    • Reconciles various general ledger accounts monthly
    • Involved with special tax-related projects
    • Other duties as assigned by manager
