    Position Summary


    The Power Generation Programmer / Systems Analyst is responsible for ensuring the integrity and availability of Operation Technology (OT) through developing secure architectures and integration into security monitoring tools.

    Tasks include but are not limited to the following:

    Operational Technology Architecture, Security and Risk Management, Communications and Network Security, Security Assessment and Testing, Maintain Cyber Security Programs, Various Audit responses.

    Tasks and Responsibilities

    • Serves as an internal information security consultant to the organization.
    • Contribute in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures
    • Performs information security risk assessments and serves as an internal expert for information security related issues.
    • Maintain security patches, anti virus software, and backup systems for multiple Industrial Control Systems.
    • Develop and maintain a lifecycle plan for Industrial Control System networks and computer infrastructure.
    • Monitors compliance with information security policies and procedures
    • Identify risk, analyze vulnerability data, and work to provide effective asset protection, incident detection, and response measures across various systems and applications.
    • Perform incident response tasks including evidence preservation, forensics, and malware/exploit analysis.
    • Supports development of security deliverables for enhancements to production systems and new development.
    • Implements ongoing improvements to security configurations and operating procedures.
    • Participate in Industrial Control System audits and Cyber Security Vulnerability Assessments (CSVA)
    • Gather and prepare documentation to support internal and external audits of cybersecurity posture, for example NERC CIP audit.
    • Prepare documentation for the site's Industrial Control System Security systems and complete required documents for making changes to ICS.
    • Maintain confidentiality and handle security related information responsibly.
    • Proactively identify risks and active threats to the organization, OT systems and applications.
    • Perform vulnerability scans and testing, publish remediation instruction and track resolution.
    • Work closely with management to prioritize business goals and information security needs.
    • Evaluate and make recommendations to management to continuously improve the cybersecurity posture of the Company
    • Will be responsible for 24/7 callout on critical issues.
    Minimum Skills

    Personal Computer Usage

    Minimum Knowledge and Abilities

    Extensive experience as a programmer/analyst in a field supporting and providing technical and analytical solutions.
    Extensive experience in program/project management for Operational Units.
    Exceptionally strong analytical and problem solving abilities

    Demonstrated ability to multi-task various critical work assignments proactively and independently in a fast paced environment and in a professional manner.

    Ability to identify alternative solutions for development of decision-making proposals, which support organizational goals/objectives and budget constraints
    Initiative to work independently or as a member of a team, coordinating with others to achieve desired results

    Demonstrated well-developed written and verbal communications skills for interaction within the section, across departmental lines to all levels of personnel, and vertically with management.

    Ability to handle complex assignments, be a self-starter, be able to meet goals and deadlines on own initiative with minimum supervision
    Demonstrated positive interpersonal behaviors toward CPS Energy, associates, and customers consistent with company core values.

    Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of a particular field of specialization to complete complex assignments.

    Highest level subject matter / technical expert and may include limited supervisory responsibilities

    Ability to work at any location at any time with extensive time in the field working with business areas
    Extensive experience in Information Systems, Reporting Solutions, Database Management and Web Development
    Ability to translate business needs to technical specifications

    Ability to articulate the business problem to be analyzed, quickly identify the critical elements of the problem, achieve a high quality answer in a timely fashion, and synthesize answers to resonate with decision makers.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree, Information Systems, Information Technology, Information Technology Security, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Security or related degrees;
    • Previous experience in Industrial Control System/Operational Technology;
    • Strong oral/written communication skills;
    • Understanding of logical network connectivity;
    • Scripting capabilities such as SQL or Powershell;
    • Microsoft Integrated Security;
    • Experience with Microsoft SQL, IIS;
    • Familiarity with NERC CIP requirements and challenges;
    • Certifications:
    CASP (Comptia Advanced Security Practitioner)
    CCNA/CCNP (Cisco Certification)
    CISSP Certified Information System Security Professional)

    Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Math, the Natural Sciences, or other quantitative field from an accredited university or related area; proven working experience may be used in lieu of degree

    Work is performed indoors & outdoors. Manual dexterity, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion. Use of computing equipment, telephone, & printer/copier. Ability to travel to and from business related events. After hours work may be required.
