  • Huntsman is seeking a New Development Marketing Manager supporting the Polyurethanes Division located in The Woodlands, Texas. This position will report to the Strategic Marketing Director.
  • Job Scope
  • The Strategic Market Manager (SMM) will be accountable for identification, creation and development of new growth opportunities for the business on a regional basis. The SMM will work closely with the R&D, TS&D and sales organization to help articulate the value proposition of the technology offering and help develop the market strategy associated with each technology/product launch. The SMM will define the NA regional marketing strategy including value chain, customer segmentation, market segmentation and channel requirements necessary to build a competitive advantage and increase profitability of the business. This person will also be accountable to become knowledgeable about and prioritize opportunities for new businesses/technologies within their assigned markets. The individual will work with the other marketers globally to create a robust pipeline of growth projects, develop data to support the growth potential and analyze risk. He or she will participate fully in prioritization & resource decisions leading to achievement of growth goals.
  • As the New Development Marketing Manager, you will:
  • Devise & develop a NA regional marketing plan to position Huntsman Polyurethanes as a premier solutions supplier.
  • Assume the lead role for the NA Regional product Market Management Team.
  • Lead and support the organization in Voice of the Customer (VOC) and blueprinting new opportunities.
  • Determine future product needs for the business with validated value propositions.
  • Develop a marketing communication and end use pull strategy to build awareness within the industry of existing and new offerings.
  • Develop and implement a brand strategy for existing and new product offerings.
  • Define key partners, capabilities and strategies to leverage Huntsman's strengths and relationships into new businesses.
  • Work closely with the other regional market managers responsible for assigned product area.

  • Proactively identifies new areas for value creation and clearly defines them with comprehensive business plans.
  • Develops and effectively communicates the framework for making strategic decisions with key stakeholders.
  • Required Qualifications:
  • BS in Business (marketing), Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. MBA or formal business training is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial experience, with previous marketing and or new business development experience is preferred.
  • Priorities and decisions are made with clarity and in a timely fashion.
  • Demonstrates and generates a sense of energy and excitement to deliver.
  • Demonstrates thoroughness, cooperation, and followthrough with all functions.
