Description
Fire Sprinkler TechnicianThe successful Fire Sprinkler Technician must be dependable and mechanically inclined in laying out, fabricating, assembling, installing, and maintaining fire sprinkler piping.
The function of the Fire Sprinkler Technician is to provide reliable, consistent, high quality customer support through on-site service, inspecting, testing, and accurate documentation of the fire protection equipment.
The technician should be a self-motivated, customer service-oriented individual with strong written and verbal communication skills and working knowledge of Fire & Life Safety Systems.
*NO AGENCIES PLEASE* Responsibilities:Install pipe systems and valvesCut, thread, assemble and bond piping and tubes according to specificationsModify, clean and maintain pipe systems, units and fittingsRemove and replace worn componentsCalculate material measurements to verify specificationsMentor and coach Fire Sprinkler Helpers on proper repair and service techniquesRequirements:
Advanced technical school training or related work experience preferredBasic knowledge of hand tools, including electric and battery-powered equipmentProficient in basic computer skillsDemonstrate problem-solving skillsExceptional written and verbal communication skillsMust be able to lift 10-50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionallyMay be exposed to temperature changes, small spaces, and confined spacesHigh school diploma or GEDMust be in good physical condition with no limitationsMust be willing to work outdoors in inclement weatherMust be able to carry 50 pounds repeatedlyMust be able to push greater than 100 pounds as neededMust be able to pull greater than 100 pounds as neededMust be able to safely climb a ladder and reach a height of at least ft.

One or more years' experience inspecting fire sprinkler systemsWorking knowledge of backflow inspections, troubleshooting, and report documentationExperience in Fire Extinguisher inspection proceduresExperience in Fire Pump procedures and flow testingEnthusiasm for technology and improving processesExperience with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically
