- Manage a group of suppliers from PO placement through order delivery, approve payments, and negotiate prices.
- Schedule or expedite deliveries to resolve issues such as shortages and missed/late deliveries.
- Prepare purchase orders, negotiate prices, and ensure smooth procurement processes.
- Monitor contract performance for compliance with obligations.
- Analyze root causes of delivery issues and lead resolution efforts.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve deliveries and close supply gaps.
- Monitor trends, supplier risks, and demand fluctuations using procurement tools.
- Perform delivery assurance responsibilities and ensure product quality standards are met.
- Respond to inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations.
- Complete other projects as assigned by Leadership.
- Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience OR
- 6 years of relevant experience in the absence of a degree.
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) for technical positions.
- Thorough knowledge of Supply Chain processes, including procurement, sourcing, and supplier performance.
- Preferred qualifications include a degree in supply chain, operations, engineering, or related field.
- Proficiency in SAP/JDE or related MRP system is preferred.
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications is a plus.
- Prior purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with AS9100 requirements is a bonus.
- Experience in the Aerospace industry and knowledge of Continuous Improvement practices.
