Responsibilities

Epic Games is seeking a Physics Programmer who is passionate about physics and mathematics. Your role will involve implementing new physics systems and maintaining existing ones in Unreal Engine 5 and beyond. Working closely with content creators and the engine team, you will contribute to building the world's leading game physics engine technology and setting new standards in simulation.

In this position, you will:

Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of new physics systems in Unreal Engine, focusing on core tooling and performance optimization.
Maintain the current physics engine and its integration into Unreal Engine.
Stay abreast of current techniques, research, and hardware advancements.

Requirements

Strong proficiency in C++ and advanced mathematical skills.
Minimum of a Master's or PhD in Computer Science, with coursework in games physics preferred.
Passion for physics and its practical application in gaming.
Familiarity with other game physics engines like Havok, PhysX, and Bullet.

This position is available in various locations, including CA & WA.
