- Handle day-to-day implementation, monitoring and operational support of platform, software, cloud environments, managed solutions, and service provider relationships.
- Actively participates in daily operational tasks, leading by example to create a culture where employees want to work.
- Optimizes use of security and IT solutions and establishes highly effective processes and protocols to ensure comprehensive protection exists to prevent unauthorized entry into the company networks and systems.
- Supports automation and orchestration to maximize team talent and reduce routine tasks.

- Conducts independent verification and validation testing of the company networks and sensitive programs through internal team resources and independent consultant engagements.
- Leads the team to implement secure enterprise systems and identifies issues that could compromise data integrity or security.
- Stays abreast of the security industry threat landscape, specifically within the company's industry.
- Develops IT security programs and recommends necessary changes to the information security team to ensure the company's systems are fully compliant with all applicable regulatory requirements and privacy laws.
- Supports third-party audit reviews of Security and IT General Controls.
- Leads and facilitates Incident Response testing exercises.
- Participates in the company's change management program.
- Leads security-related projects from inception to successful completion and is capable of effectively coaching technology staff on appropriate security protocols and needs as they implement new technology into the organization.
- This position requires strong written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to communicate detailed, technical information in a manner comprehensible by individuals at varying degrees of experience and skill level. The role requires the ability to speak confidently in front of large groups and with corporate management, vendors, and service providers. The information security manager also contributes to the company IT security strategy and roadmap.

- Highly technical and analytical, with a proven deep background in Information Security technology design, implementation, and delivery.
- Extensive knowledge of vulnerability management and incident response capabilities (blue team).
- Experience in cloud computing technologies, including software-, infrastructure- and platform-as-a-service, as well as public, private, and hybrid environments.
- Excellence in communicating business risk from cybersecurity issues.
- Experience utilizing Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), threat intelligence platforms, security automation and orchestration solutions, data loss prevention (DLP) and other network and system monitoring tools.
- Track record of acting with integrity, taking pride in work, seeking to excel, being curious and adaptable, and communicating effectively.
- Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities.
- Prefer one or more security certifications (i.e. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), SANS certification(s), etc.).
- Experience with security technology product evaluation, proof of concepts and testing.

Job Overview:
The Information Security Operations (SecOps) Manager is responsible for providing hands-on leadership, as well as operational and tactical direction to diverse teams, including IT analysts, engineers, architects, and developers. The SecOps manager leads the team to configure, manage, maintain, and utilize security technologies. This team is responsible for vulnerability management, detection, incident response and physical security technology. The SecOps manager leads the team through the information security program by establishing highly effective policies, corporate protocols, and appropriate collaboration among teams. In addition, this leader assumes responsibility for the education and enforcement of those protocols and matters of compliance within the scope of Security Operations. The SecOps manager possesses a strong technical security background and understands risk, mitigation, and technical controls. The manager is expected to lead teams that perform technical work and must possess leadership qualities.
