Description:


Holy Cross has brought many forms of art to our hospitals and health centers in an effort to create a more peaceful and calming healing presence for our colleagues, patients, and visitors.

Art relieves suffering, builds resilience, and is a source of strength. Our Scholar will embrace these principles and help build a comprehensive Arts in Healing program.


Responsibilities:


  • Work closely with our Chief Mission Officer to create an integrated Arts in Healing program.
  • Commission local artists to create art for our healing spaces.
  • Build connections in the community to encourage donated artwork.
  • Invite artists of all mediums to conduct workshops and/or perform for our colleagues and patients.
  • Share your creative art to the Holy Cross community through lectures, exhibitions, demonstrations and/or classes.
  • Attend communitybased events when available to spread the word about the Arts in Healing Scholars program.
