Position Summary:


The radiology patient access rep performs a wide variety of detail-oriented duties in the process of arriving and registering patients in the radiology dept.


Location:680 Centre Street, Brockton, MA


Department:
Radiology Admin


This is a full-time 40-hour/ week position

Responsibilities:


  • May be called upon to schedule patient appointments.
  • Uses independent judgment, and ingenuity and is selfmotivated.
  • The duties require knowledge of procedures and policies related to the Radiology Department and function as a team player.
  • Must be able to work in a fastpaced environment and demonstrate the ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks and demands.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills with both internal and external customers.
  • Schedules appointments for imaging and other procedures as assigned.
  • Checks for payers' prior authorization requirements, and validates active coverage.
  • Manages incoming phone calls in a positive professional manner.

Experience/Technical/Other:


Experience:1-year experience in medical or customer service working environment, radiology experience preferred. Medical Terminology


Software/Hardware:
Nextbar, Evicore, and Meditech experience preferred.


Pay:
$ $23.57 per hour
