    JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Quality Inspector works within the Inspection Department to primarily assure machined and welded parts meet customer specification.

    · Reading and understanding customer and internal drawings to determine material and production requirements

    · Complying with Jet Machine policies and procedures

    · Ensuring that product meets specified requirements, including raw material, work in process and finished product

    · Use of inspection equipment (ex. Calipers and micrometers) to measure manufactured parts

    · Documenting inspection results using Jet and/or customer inspection report forms

    · Creating Jet inspection reports and balloon drawings

    · Maintain good housekeeping practices including cleaning work area and inspection equipment

    · Other tasks as assigned

    JOB SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

    · High school education or equivalent

    · Basic math skills and basic blue print reading

    · Knowledge of the use of inspection equipment including standard inspection hand tools, Faro Arm & CMM

    · Attention to detailed inspection requirements

    · Ability to create accurate paperwork, legibly and timely

    · Use of SDS sheets and basic machine shop safety

    · Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances (GD&T) preferred

    · General personal computer usage including Microsoft Office

    · Must be able to stand at least 8 hours per day and lift up to 50 lbs
