Departmental Objective
- Facilities Management is responsible for maintaining campus buildings utilizing the carpentry, plumbing, electrical and HVAC trades as well as housekeeping and floor maintenance.
Purpose of the Position - This position will ensure the cleanliness of assigned areas by performing various housekeeping tasks.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Related to Position - Knowledge of cleaning methods
- Knowledge of cleaning materials
- Skilled in the use of housekeeping equipment
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs., tolerate frequent bending, stooping, and climbing stairs
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively and to maintain positive relations with faculty, staff and students
Ability to work 3rd shift Hours Normally 9 pm - 3 am, Monday
- Friday
Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification Required
Experience:
Experience in cleaning methods and cleaning supplies.
Additional Consideration(s)
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent

Previous experience working at a university. Experience using a buffer. Experience using a scrubbing machine.
