Key services include general medical/surgical inpatient care and treatment, critical care, emergency services, orthopedics, maternity care, and wound care.


Responsibilities:

The Public Safety/Security Associate Director will assist the CEO by supervising and directing the operation of the Security Department. Will provide day-to-day supervision and management of the Security staff. Will ensure that all requirements, regulations and documentation involving the security department is completed. The Public Safety/Security Associate Director will secure and protect the patients, visitors, staff, building, and property. Will investigate and submit reports on assaults, thefts, damage to personal and facility property and all related security issues. Assists the staff in the handling of combative persons and situations. Will maintain communication with the local law enforcement agencies.

Additionally, the Associate Director will be the dedicated, disaster planner will implement all local city/county or federal grants' requirements in the facility.

Activities must be coordinated in accordance with the local agency's requirements that implement the programs for their respective community or county

This position is typically for multi-facility locations and/or large hospital campuses.


Qualifications:

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Two (2) year college degree preferred
  • Five (5) years experience in healthcare security supervision work or related field.
  • PC 832 / Level 1 law enforcement training or higher.
  • Reserve Deputy / Police Officer experience. Can be substituted for experience with the Department of Corrections, Military Law Enforcement, or healthcare security management.
  • Able to manage security operations at multiple locations/sites

Facility Specific Requirements (facility may require items listed below):

  • State Drivers license upon hire
  • Current DMV H6 report

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $65,520.00 to $91,644.80 on an annualized basis.

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
