- Successful completion of an accredited paramedic school and possession of a bachelor's degree in emergency management services, Business Management, Public/Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 5 (five) years of experience (manager, assistant director, director, or administrator level position) in managing a medium-sized (annual response volume of 30,000+) high-performance EMS system.
- Extensive knowledge of emergency medical service systems.
- Experience in financial planning and analysis.
- Experience in organization development, personnel management, budget and resource development, and strategic planning.
- Position is a full-time Interim position that holds the potential to transition into a permanent position.
- The salary range is between $110,000-$150,000 depending on experience.
- The Medical Ambulance Director provides the necessary leadership, operational management, and vision to ensure that the group maintains the required operational controls, consistent administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems and processes needed to effectively manage day-to-day operations, foster growth and improvement within the organization, ensure financial stability, and sustain an engaged, highly skilled workforce.
- The role necessitates active, respectful, constructive, and inclusive leadership, as well as the ability to seamlessly transition between hands-on operational tasks and higher-level administrative and strategic work.
- Day-to-day leadership and management of Ambulance operations and employees.
- Accountable for all personnel management responsibilities, including staffing, training, establishing performance expectations, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Collaborates on the development and implementation of departmental policies/procedures and operational guidelines.
- Responsible for training and ensuring compliance with all regulatory procedures and requirements.

- Accountable for measuring and assessing the effectiveness of all key operational processes.
- Provides weekly administrative reports that detail field, communications, operations, training, vehicle maintenance activities, and overall performance.
- Responsible for revenue, profitability, cash flow, and the achievement of business goals and objectives.
- Develops the operational and capital budget.
- Drives the development, communication, and implementation of effective growth strategies and organizational improvements.
- Collaborates with cross-functional leaders, as needed, to implement plans for infrastructure, systems, processes, and personnel changes.
- Maintains positive, mutually beneficial relationships with other first responder organizations in surrounding communities and hospital personnel.
- Assists in overseeing First Responder Agreements.
- Reports to and works closely with the CEO.
- The facility is an acute care center with around 100 beds, affiliated with a system.
