    Ambulance Director / Long Term Interim Position





    LOCATION:
    New Concord, OH

    This facility is nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains and at the intersection of two Interstates that allows access to several larger metro areas like Columbus, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and Wheeling.

    What they're looking for:

    • Must be a graduate from an accredited paramedic school and have a bachelor's degree in emergency management services, Business Management, Public/Business Administration, or a closely related field.
    • A minimum 5 (five) years' experience (manager, assistant director, director, or administrator level position) managing a medium-size (annual response volume of 30,000+) high-performance EMS system
    • Extensive knowledge of emergency medical service systems
    • Experience in financial planning and analysis.
    • Experience in organization development, personnel management, budget and resource development and strategic planning.

    Preferred:
    experience with public affairs


    Hours and Compensation potential:

    • Position is full time Interim position that could become permanent position.
    • The range is between 110K-150K depending on experience.

    What you'll be doing:

    • The Medical Ambulance Director provides the leadership, operational management, and vision needed to ensure that the grou has the required operational controls, consistent administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems and processes to effectively manage the day-to-day operations, grow and improve the organization, ensure financial strength, and maintain an engaged, highly capable workforce.
    • The position requires active, respectful, constructive and inclusive leadership as well as the ability to easily move between operational hands-on and higher level administrative and strategic work.
    • Day-to-day leadership and management of Ambulance operations and associates
    • Responsible for all personnel management including staffing, training, setting performance expectations and conducting performance evaluations.
    • Collaborates on the development and implementation of departmental policies/procedures, and operational guidelines.
    • Responsible for training and ensuring compliance on all regulatory procedures and requirements.
    • Responsible for training and ensuring compliance with all safety procedures and requirements.
    • Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all key operational processes
    • Provides weekly administrative reports detailing field, communications, operations, training and vehicle maintenance activities and overall performance.
    • Responsible for revenue, profitability, cash flow and achieving business goals and objectives.
    • Establishes the operational and capital budget.
    • Spearheads the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and organizational improvements.
    • Collaborates with cross-functional leaders when required to implement plans for infrastructure, systems, processes, and personnel changes
    • Maintains positive, mutually beneficial relationships with other first responder organizations within surrounding communities and hospital personnel.
    • Assists in overseeing First Responder Agreements.

    Additional info:

    • Reports to and works closely with the CEO.
    • Facility is around 100 beds acute care affiliated with a system.
