Job Summary Statement:


As the Logistics Manager at Waaree Solar Americas, you will be at the forefront of our operations, responsible for developing and implementing logistics strategies to ensure the smooth flow of materials and products to, through and out of our manufacturing facility.

You will play a critical role in optimizing our supply chain, managing inventory, and coordinating transportation to support our production needs and meet customer demand.

This position is full time on site and may require occasional travel to vendor locations.


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute logistics strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency, minimize costs, reduce inventories, and support business objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams, including production, procurement, sales, and customer service, to ensure alignment and coordination of logistics activities.
  • Oversee inventory management processes, including inventory tracking, stock replenishment, and cycle counting, to maintain optimal inventory levels and minimize stockouts.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities, including scheduling, transportation, and delivery, to ensure timely receipt of materials and shipment of finished products.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, carriers, and logistics service providers to negotiate contracts, rates, and service agreements that meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
  • Implement and maintain logistics systems and tools to support efficient operations, including inventory management software, transportation management systems (TMS), and warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Manage all insurance/carrier claims and root cause corrective actions for damages.
  • Manage all new carrier on boarding as well as all carrier quarterly business reviews (QBRs)
  • Full responsibility of inventory reporting and verifications
  • Report regularly on logistics status, challenges, and solutions to project management and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Recommend optimal transportation modes. Analyze the financial impact of the proposed logistics plan, such as new warehouses and shipping methods.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, sales, operations/order management, finance, and logistics partners.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate logistics performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous process optimization.
  • Lead and develop a highperforming logistics team, providing coaching, training, and support to ensure team members have the skills and resources needed to succeed.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including safety regulations, transportation regulations, and environmental regulations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, developments, and best practices in logistics and supply chain management to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., APICS, CSCMP) preferred.
  • Proven experience in logistics management, preferably in a manufacturing or startup environment. Experience in the solar industry or related industries is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management principles, logistics processes, and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and systems, such as ERP systems, TMS, WMS, and inventory management software.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with crossfunctional teams and external partners.
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Strong negotiation and relationshipbuilding skills.
  • SAP experience is a plus.

Pay:
$70, $80,000.00 per year
