The Billing Coordinator is a detail-oriented and organized individual.

The Billing Coordinator will be responsible for various billing tracking and follow with our Revenue Cycle Management Company (Millin) and ensuring compliance with audits and surveys.

The Billing Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of our organization by handling insurance ineligibility follow-up, co-pay and co-insurance follow-up and posting, as well as other billing-related tasks.

The Billing Coordinator must be detail oriented and possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

In addition to responsibilities below, performs all other duties as assigned.

  • Uses positive approaches when handling difficult situations. Avoids gossip and negative discussions. Remains flexible and adapts to change.
  • Serves as role model for program participants. Abides dress code. Conducts self in a professional manner at all times.
  • Remains sensitive and responsive to cultural differences of program participants and staff.
  • Participates in inservice trainings and onsite workshops as required for professional growth and development. Attends external trainings and workshops at direction of management.
  • Represents the organization both within and outside of the work environment in a manner that promotes the mission, vision and values of the agency. Personally, adheres to organizational mission, vision and values, in addition to all other agency policies and procedures.
  • Conduct insurance ineligibility followup to resolve any issues related to claims.
  • Follow up on copay, coinsurance, and selfpay payments, ensuring timely and accurate posting.
  • Follow up on previous claims billed in Nextgen to ensure payments posting, rejection and denials follow up.
  • Upload Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) into Millin's eBridges for posting. '
  • Collaborate with programs to address and resolve any issues posted to Millin's Issue Tracker system.
  • Reconcile paper checks received, ensuring accurate financial records and transfer to Fiscal Department.
  • Assist with the credentialing process for insurance providers, ensuring compliance with requirements.
  • Coordinate the recertification of Electronic Transmitter Identification Number (ETIN).
  • Negotiate with thirdparty entities to optimize billing processes and reimbursement rates.
  • Ensure compliance with audits and surveys by maintaining accurate records and following established
procedures.

  • Assist with reporting overpayment to OMIG
  • Obtain contracts with Medicaid Managed Care providers, Commercial Insurance or amend existing contracts
as needed.

  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures for billing activities, ensuring adherence to industry standards
  • Collaborate with all departments billing Medicaid/Insurance companies to ensure billing reports are ready timely to submit to Millin
Associate degree. Preferred Bachelors.
